I am a local standing for Reform UK in Croydon, a former Army serviceman shaped by the values of discipline, duty, and service. Guided by a stoic mindset and grounded in my Christian faith, I believe in resilience, personal responsibility, and facing difficult realities with honesty rather than empty promises.
I am proud of my mixed English and Sri Lankan heritage, which has given me a deep respect for community, family, and shared values. As a Croydon resident, parent, and working individual, I understand the everyday pressures facing local people — the rising cost of living, housing challenges, public safety concerns, and the need for a council that spends taxpayers’ money wisely and transparently.
Croydon is a borough full of hardworking people and strong communities, yet it has too often been failed by poor leadership, financial mismanagement, and decisions made without proper accountability. Drawing on my military experience, my faith, and a belief in common sense over ideology, I am standing for Reform UK to challenge the status quo and put local residents first.
We support safer neighbourhoods, cleaner streets, responsible use of council funds, and a return to order, fairness, and accountability in local government. We believe leadership is not about slogans, virtue-signalling, or empty rhetoric, but about integrity, discipline, and doing what is right — even when it is not easy.
Above all, I believe real change starts locally: by listening to residents, standing firm on principles, and working to ensure Croydon is governed with seriousness, honesty, and genuine respect for the people who live here.
