Croydon, UK – November 24, 2025 – Reform UK Croydon has released its comprehensive “Contract with You” a set of policies designed to deliver a safer, more prosperous, and resident-focused future for the borough. In response to years of Labour and Conservative failures that have saddled Croydon with £1.4 billion in debt and a hollowed-out town centre, these policies prioritise practical solutions, fiscal discipline, and community empowerment over wasteful bureaucracy.
“This is our pledge to the people of Croydon: no more broken promises or mismanaged funds,” said Reform UK Croydon Chair Daniel Tebbutt.
Reform UK London Regional Manager Scott Holman said “We’ve seen drug offences surge by 88.7%, shoplifting up 17.7%, and Croydon topping London’s drug crime tables with 284 offences in December 2024 alone. Our Contract with You aims to restore pride in our communities, boost our economy, and ensure every resident’s voice shapes our borough’s destiny.”
Crime & Antisocial Behaviour
Working with the Met, Reform UK Croydon wants a zero-tolerance approach for anti-social behaviour, backing police with fair enforcement and community outreach. Key measures include pushing for the use of PSP Orders, Injunctions, and Criminal Behaviour Orders; enhancing street lighting and sight lines; targeting hotspots with increased patrols; and endorsing proportionate Stop and Search. We will foster direct accountability between the Met Police and residents.
Council Finance
Tackling the borough’s crippling £1.4 billion debt head-on, we will slash wasteful spending —starting with a review of the £53 million spent on agency staff and £15 million on consultancies — while reviewing contracts and committing to no more risky property ventures. We will cap council salaries below the Prime Minister’s level and publish details of all earners over £100,000. Savings will repay high-interest loans and redirecting funds to frontline services.
Planning and Development
Protecting Croydon’s suburban character, we oppose car-free developments and unjustified restrictions that ignore residents’ reliance on vehicles. Town centre regeneration will focus on reviving businesses and fostering community pride, ensuring new developments include essential spaces for families and safeguard parks, ponds, and green areas vital for mental health and biodiversity.
Local Services
Reform will push back on further cuts to vital support for the elderly and vulnerable. We will use our position in the council to hold NHS leaders accountable for escalating waiting lists. Green spaces will be meticulously maintained to boost biodiversity. We will work with the private sector to fund CCTV in fly-tipping hot spots. We cannot let Croydon remain so unkempt.
Local Economy, Transport and Motoring
Driving growth through smart partnerships with businesses and investors, we will relax parking restrictions, scrap blanket 20 MPH limits in favour of 30 MPH defaults, and repair pothole-riddled roads. We will push for a public consultation on whether Mayor Khan’s ULEZ policy causes more harm than good to the residents of Croydon.
These policies reflect Reform UK Croydon’s unwavering commitment to transparency and collaboration.
By prioritising economic revival, public safety, and good governance, we aim to rebuild trust in local leadership and position Croydon as a thriving hub once more.
